Slim Hangers Take Up Less Space In Your Closet

Many homes have the problem of not having enough closet space. One way to help your closet hold more is to use slim hangers. Modern styles are a real space saver, and if you use these slim hangers to replace bulky wooden hangers, thick padded hangers, or thick plastic ones, you may be surprised to see that you can have much more space in your closet.

Slim hangers are made in many different styles. Many of them have velvet coverings over a thin, durable plastic hanger. The velvet keeps the clothes from slipping off of the hangers, and the thin design of the hangers takes much less room on the closet rod than thick hangers do. By adding cascading hanger accessories and using slim hangers, the space in a closet can really be increased.

Modern improvements in plastic have made it possible to hang clothes as heavy as winter coats or those as light as a silk blouse on the same type of hangers. Plastic slim hangers can be used to hang all of the clothes in your home, including children’s clothes. It is much easier to get your closets organized when you can fit more items neatly into the closet. When it isn’t so packed full of items, the hangers can be moved to the left or to the right to make it easier to add or remove clothing from the closet.

Space saver slim hangers are usually only around one-fourth of an inch thick. That means that four hangers of clothing fit into one inch. When you begin to visualize this, you can estimate how many items you will be able to hang in your closet. If you measure it and it is 24 inches wide, you should be able to fit four times that many clothes in the closet. Of course, if you have many thick coats, this will cut down on the items a little bit.

Many slim hangers have a metal or plastic clip on either side of the hanger. These are usually very heavy duty and can securely hold heavy jeans or lighter items like cotton pants. Another advantage of using these space saver hangers is that they are usually inexpensive. You can replace all of the mismatched hangers in your closet with these because they do not cost much money. Your closet will look much more organized when the hangers are all of the same style and color. They are also made for children’s clothes in a smaller size that is just right for babies, toddlers, and children and their clothes.

A contemporary style type of slim hangers is made of ecologically friendly materials. These hangers are very thin and strong. Each one can hold up to 20 pounds of weight, so it is possible to hang purses and other items on them to hang in the closet. They can hold the heaviest men’s coat as well. Believe it or not, these slim hangers are made of recycled paper.

Another style of slim hangers has a built-in clip for more options in hanging clothes and accessories. A tie can be hung on the small bar that is built into the hanger, and it is possible to organize coordinated outfits with this type of slim hangers. They are also made in sizes that are just right for children’s clothes. These hangers have a non-slip covering on them so that silky clothes do not slip off. Some people use them to hang linens, such as sheets or tablecloths so that they stay wrinkle free and do not need to be ironed.
